Theme 1

JANUARY 14

Theme 1: Beating the Winter Blues – Kapha Balancing Masterclass

Winter can make you want to curl up on the couch with a blanket anda hot choco. It is the Kapha season, making us crave more heavy foods, feel like staying home, moving less and sleeping more. With lack of daylight we might even have the winter blues.

Luckily there is a medicine in the form of a Kapha balancing yoga practice! During this masterclass Suze will guide you through a dynamic yoga practice that gets the energy flowing again in your body, warms you up from the inside out and wakes up your digestive fire. You will explore a variation of backbends, corework and fluid Vinyasa sequences, all topped off with a nice and deep savasana!

FEBRUARY 4

Theme 2: Self Care & Deep Relaxation

There is nothing more valuable than the ability to give yourself the deeply nourishing relaxation that you need. This masterclass opens a toolbox full of proven practices that allow you to take relaxation and recovery to a whole new level.

Suze will offer you a sweet slow flow practice that allows you to feel your body more deeply, consciously breathing into those parts that gently need to be seduced to let go and open up. The asana part of the class will be followed by a 20 minute Yoga Nidra practice. You will enter the magic space between being asleep and awake,  relaxing and restoring deeply.

MARCH 11

Theme 3: Creating Space and Flow – Deep Hip openers

The hips connect the upper and the lower body, an open flow of energy in this area is therefore connected to a better range of motion in the spine, a relaxed psoas muscle and a proper range of motion in the legs. But space is not the only thing we want in our hips. We need stability as well. How to combine the two and what the correct alignment is in hip openers is often unclear.

In this masterclass Suze will guide you through a fluid practice that guides you through a variety of hip openers. She will clearly explain the alignment needed to practice safe hip openers that create both space and stability. 


APRIL 15

Theme 4: Planting the Seeds – Kapha Balancing & Intention setting Masterclass

As we are leaving the Winter behind, it is time to let go of what we no longer need, creating space for new seeds to be planted and life to grow.

In this masterclass Suze invite you to include Sankalpa (a higher intention) to your practice. As we get our body moving, we apply the asana practice to strengthen our Sankalpa. Through grounded, yet challenging asanas we gently push our boundaries. Waking up our body and mind to it’s manifesting power as we plant the seeds for the seasons that follow.

Theme 5: Finding Your Tipping Point – Hand-balancing Masterclass

Getting up side down is one of the most exciting and energizing things we can do! As kinds we all knew this and getting up side down was often part of regular play time. But as we grow up and we forget that we don’t have to only stand on our feet, that we can turn our world upside down every now and then too!

In this masterclass Suze will teach you the alignment and actions that allow you to get on your hand in a safe and supported way. We will slowly build the trust and confidence to move into hand balances like bakasana, pincha mayurasana and (supported)handstand. 


JUNE 3

Theme 6: Turning on Your Self-Healing Powers

We all deal with stressful or even traumatizing event in our daily lives. As human beings we are physically and mentally designed to be able to not only survive these events, but to learn from them and evolve. But in order to do so, we need to have the time and space to apply our self-healing powers. With the current pase of life, this is something we often don’t find the time for anymore.

In this masterclass Suze will guide you through a body awareness meditation and an asana practice focussing on the breath and releasing fascia tension, preparing the body to relax deeply and release stress that is stored in the nervous system and the muscles. The asana practice is followed by a 20 minute Yoga Nidra session, allowing your body to integrate the healing that takes place and restore deeply.

JULY 8

Theme 1: Cool Body, Calm Mind – Pitta Balancing Masterclass

The warming Summer sun is nourishing for our body and mind. But this season also rises our the fire we all have in us, which means Pitta (the fire element) could use some attention at this time of the year. Keeping both body and mind balanced.

In this cooling masterclass Suze will guide you through a fluid asana sequence, as if you are moving through water.  Combined with cooling breath practices and a guided meditation that calms the mind, this class will leave you feeling cool and collected. Ready to for the rest of Summer!

With Autumn bringing the winds of change, we can start to feel ungrounded and all over the place. As the temperatures start dropping and rain and wind is becoming a daily treat, Vata (the air element) is easily out of balance.

In this Vata balancing masterclass Suze guide you through a grounding practice, allowing you to grow roots to stand strong in the Autumn storms. Combined with a calming meditation and a deep savasana, this class will leave you feeling steady and grounded with a clear mind.
