Class 1

JANUARY 14 and MAY 6

Class 1: Getting Ready - Saluting the Sun

Each yoga class starts with a variation of the Sun Salutations. Yoga traditionally being a morning practice, the sun salutation literally great the sun outside, but also inside you. They are aimed to warm up your body to get you ready for the rest of your practice.

During this class you will learn the traditional Sun Salutations A and B and how to flow through them with an understanding of the alignment and purpose of each pose. Suze will also discuss some variations to the traditional Sun Salutations and how they are connected to the rest of your practice. 


Class 2

FEBRUARY 4 and MAY 20

Class 2: Finding your roots- Standing poses

The standing postures are an important part of each yoga practice as they get your body ready for the deeper poses that might follow.

In this class Suze will guide you through different standing poses like Warrior I and II, Parsvakonasana and Trikonasana. You will understand the building blocs of the different poses and the benefits each pose has to offer. 


Class 3

FEBRUARY 18 and JUNE 3

Class 3: Turning Inwards – Forward Folds

As forward folds allow us to protect the vital parts of our body from the outside world, they tend to feel soothing and comforting. They stretch the backs of the legs and the spine.

In this class Suze will guide you through different standing and sitting forward folds while applying the alignment principles that allow you to stretch the back of your body in a healthy and safe way.  You will learn how to create more length in the spine and stretch the mid section of your calves and hamstrings while protecting the attachments. Golden tips for both very flexible and inflexible bodies! 


FEBRUARY 25 and JUNE 10

Class 4: With an Open Heart – Back Bends

Back bends are potent poses to open not only the front of our body, but with that our hearts.  A supportive backbend opens the body and the mind and leaves you feeling open and free.

In this class you will learn the tools that allow you to create the spinal flexibility to move safely into deeper backbends. Suze will guide you through a variety of backbends and the appropriate counter poses that create a balanced practice.

MARCH 11 and JUNE 24

Class 5: The Deeper Layers – Hip Openers, Meditation & Yoga Nidra

Yoga is more than the physical poses that have a positive effect on both the body and the mind. A complete yoga practice consist of multiple elements, among which meditation, yoga philosophy and lifestyle.

In the class Suze will guide you to some of the deeper layers of what your yoga practice has to offer you. Through a series of hip openers we will work on the release od stress and tension in the body, getting it ready for a seated meditation and deep relaxation through Yoga Nidra.
